About Psych Scene

Psych Scene offers specialised training and professional development for psychiatry trainees, psychiatrists and general practitioners. With a comprehensive range of exam courses, workshops and online courses, Psych Scene intends to transform the way practitioners think about psychiatry.

Project brief

Psych Scene contracted Oppida to provide strategic advice around tech stack needs for the launch of a brand-new brand Psych Scene Academy, and the subsequent design and development of 18 short courses in Absorb LMS for the Academy launch.

Project challenge 

Key challenges of this project were the complexity of the content and the subject matter and the need to find the right learning designer. In addition, the project sponsor played a vital role in the content creation process, and a further challenge was to fit around their hectic schedule.

Oppida’s customised solution 

Upon high-quality strategic advice provided by Oppida, Psych Scene contracted Oppida to design, develop and publish 18 online courses as part of the launch of the Psych Academy. As part of this project, Oppida developed a new brand, Psych Scene Academy, and created a beautiful graphical stylesheet for the new learning management system, Absorb. In addition, to ensure that content is highly engaging and relevant, Oppida coordinated a week of rich media production in our Bali studio, The LightHouse, and engaged a dedicated rich media project manager to support our client on-site. Oppida is now designing and developing 12 further courses along with a range of rich media assets.
